Eco-schools 

​At Gorringe Park we are passionate about helping the planet and making our school more eco-friendly. Over the school year we have worked on the following projects:

Achieved our Green Flag Award:

We have achieved our Green Flag Award by showcasing the different eco-projects that we have completed throughout the school. These have included eco-fashion as part of our Waste Week Campaign, our energy project to turn off more electrical equipment everyday and we are looking forward to launching our plastic recycling competition in the summer term. 

Earth Day: 

To celebrate Earth Day we had a special assembly where we learnt the importance of Earth Day and why people turn off all their appliances for 1 hour on 22nd April 2024. 

FairTrade:

We had an assembly to understand the importance of Fair Trade fortnight and making better choices when we shop, will have a positive impact on farmers all over the world.

The Big Spring Clean:

In the summer term we will be taking part in The Great British Clean and learning more about the effect litter has on the environment.
